UCC provide you with a dedicated Care Manager who will ensure you have continuity and the appropriate support your service requires. QUALITY ASSURED

 

 

UCC ensures that you have a dedicated care manager. The care manager facilitates a high level of communication with each of their customers, through regular phone calls and meetings which will include completing our staff quality assurance forms.

 

 

We will regularly ask you for your written feedback on individual staff members to assist with their supervision, development and highlight any training requirements they may have.

 

Any issues that have been brought to the attention of the care manager through any means of communication, will be discussed in our weekly management meetings and dealt with accordingly this includes any complaints or compliments.

 

UCC guarantees that each customer (to whom we regularly provide staff ) will be asked to complete a quality assurance questionnaire a minimum of every 12 months. The quality assurance forms cover: care and nursing staff performance, office staff performance, management and the company’s performance as a whole.

 

This 360 degree quality assurance programme enables us to continually improve our service and feedback regarding individual staff members is helpful in assisting us to develop people and highlight training issues.

 

We feed back to our customers annually changes any improvements made as a result of our quality assurance programme.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

RECRUITMENT

 

UCC prides itself on a stringent recruitment policy. Each of our applicants must complete a comprehensive application form which is then vetted by our experienced Care Managers, prior to the candidate being invited in for an interview.

 

All staff members will have:

 

  • Minimum of six months experience in the care sector.

 

  • A structured interview designed to test their knowledge of healthcare, experience, general ability and work ethic, the interview also includes a numeracy and literacy test.

 

  • References covering the previous 5 year work history.

 

  • An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check

 

  • A comprehensive induction

 

  • Comprehensive training and specialist training, as a minimum ALL of our team have training in: First Aid, Manual Handling, Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, Fire Safety, Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults, Infection Control, Equality & Diversity and Safe Administration of Medicines.

 

 

A staff profile is provided for each staff member detailing: a recent photograph, DBS number and date, NI number, training and experience.  These can be emailed to you for each new team member prior to the shift(s) being allocated.
